Associate Product Manager, New Product Planning


Reporting to and in partnership with the Chief Commercial Officer, the Associate Product Manager New Product Planning, will collaborate with global product development teams (PDTs) to provide strategic commercial input on products in pre-clinical stages through early development and commercialization. Working across diverse therapeutic areas including hematology/oncology, hematology, nephrology, and others, this individual will support marketing needs including indication, market and landscape assessments, qualitative / quantitative market research and advisory boards. Collaborating with both internal as well as external stakeholders, this individual will play a key role in informing the early brand and therapeutic area plans, as well as contributing to assessments of potential external business development opportunities.

This is a Hybrid position (on-site and remote); preferred to be Seattle-based however, dependent on the candidate, we will consider remote.

Who is Omeros?

Omeros is an innovative biopharmaceutical company committed to discovering, developing and commercializing small-molecule and protein therapeutics for large-market and orphan indications targeting inflammation, immunologic diseases (e.g., complement-mediated diseases) and cancers. Omeros’ lead MASP-2 inhibitor narsoplimab targets the lectin pathway of complement and is the subject of a biologics license application pending before FDA for the treatment of hematopoietic stem cell transplant-associated thrombotic microangiopathy. Narsoplimab is also in multiple late-stage clinical development programs focused on other complement-mediated disorders, including IgA nephropathy, atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome and COVID-19. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work as a member of Omeros PDTs to provide commercial insights and analyses that help inform product development
  • Conduct market research/analysis and competitive intelligence projects to identify current and future unmet needs, competitive dynamics, and trends within key disease areas
  • Support program alignment with global Commercial portfolio and Therapeutic Area strategies
  • Identify key value drivers for Target Product Profiles (TPPs), including supporting the VP Market Access in identifying payer value propositions and key decision criteria by geographic region
  • Contribute to life-cycle strategy for products across pipeline
  • Support global market assessment and early brand plans for pipeline therapies, including market research, competitive intelligence, and opinion leader engagement planning.
  • Support transition of commercial deliverables and insights to PDTs, Commercial and Executive leadership
  • Gain and synthesize insights from scientific experts, internal and external (OLs), into strategies for relevant programs
  • Support the development of high-level sales forecasts, sensitivity analysis and NPVs, proactively highlighting newly acquired insights that may impact previous assumptions
  • Draft pre-launch strategy and activities in scope with product planning function that coordinate across multiple internal and external stakeholders

Education, Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Required:

  • Undergraduate degree in business or science or related discipline required; an advanced degree (MD, PhD or MBA) is preferred
  • 0-2 years of experience in biotech / pharma new product planning or early strategic brand planning, is required
  • Experience in hematology/oncology, hematology, nephrology, and/or complement biology is preferred, or experience in rare disease
  • Strong scientific background and ability to engage credibly with internal and external stakeholders around scientific topics
  • A business orientation and the ability to view issues from multiple functional perspectives
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Good communication skills including an ability to clearly articulate complex concepts and processes to others
  • Strong scientific knowledge and aptitude

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel 10-15% for advisory boards and medical/scientific congresses
  • In the event that this is a remote position, ability to travel to Omeros HQ in Seattle

Compensation and Benefits


Omeros is proud to offer a competitive total compensation package designed to support the lives of our employees and their families. The wage scale for this position is $90,000 to $120,000 per year. Salaries will be determined based on knowledge, skills, education and experience relevant to the role. Employees are offered medical, dental, vision and life insurance and a 401k plan with a company match. Employees accrue three weeks of vacation and 80 hours of sick time on an annual basis and receive twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
